Residence of Fernley, passed away on February 7, 2014 after a short illness. Bobby was born in Conway, Arkansas to Leonard and Inez Padgett. He lived in Morenci, AZ for most of his young years, graduating from Morenci High School in 1958. In 1959 he joined the US Army. He was stationed in Germany for most of the three years he was in. Bobby worked for 40 years as a postman in California. He with his wife of fifty three year, Carolyn, moved to Fernley, Nevada 12 years ago. He enjoyed golfing, painting, he also played a banjo and a guitar. Bobby is survived by his wife, Carolyn Padgett of Fernley, son,David Padgett of Ukiah, CA.; brother, Gerald Padgett of Thatcher, AZ.; sister, Debbie Jansen, of Nebraska; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada.
