Ronald Wayne Cherry, born on July 28, 1950, in Dallas, TX, passed away January 1, 2025, with his family by his side. Ron grew up in Denver, CO with his parents John and Imogene Cherry and his brother Johnny and two sisters Cynthia and Marian. He joined the Navy and fell head over heels for Morita Colisao in the Philippines. They married and had three daughters, Marlene, Kimberly, and Gina. Later Michael Colisao was lovingly embraced into the family. Ron received orders to be stationed at Fallon, NV in 1985 and from then on retired and settled in the oasis of Nevada. He was a paralegal for James Sloan and then the State of Nevada. He was dedicated to the Catholic faith and became a deacon for St Patrick’s Catholic Church and was part of the Knights of Columbus. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Morita Cherry, of 53 years; his children Michael Colisao; Marlene Cherry; Kimberly Wilson; and Gina Dyer; and his siblings Cynthia Massick and Marian Hall. He is blessed with 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He will never be forgotten and will be forever missed.
